God’s Only Goal in Time

God’s only goal in time,
Dispensing life to us,
Is what this heart of mine
Can absolutely trust;
For God Himself in Christ
The flesh in time became,
Now God can be my life
Each time I call His name.

God’s purpose and His plan
Is more of Christ dispensed;
My spirit is the key,
Where life and peace are sensed;
So I will exercise
My spirit every day,
And overcome the world;
Be saved from Satan’s sway.

God’s only goal in time
Is to pour out His Son,
His Spirit joined to mine,
Intrinsic’lly made one;
And fanned into a flame,
Would spread His fire, divine
Into my inward parts,
This four-part heart of mine.

Oh, let God’s goal be mine,
To gain Christ while I live,
Consumed by holy fire,
My every moment give;
And now I am assured
The One to whom I pray
Patrols and guards my heart
Unto that coming day.
